How I got into science

I’ve always been interested in how things work and quickly realized at a young age that science held the answers to these questions. As I got older, I came to find that I was always most interested in topics pertaining to the brain, which ironically seemed to hold more questions than answers. As I was applying to college, I knew that I wanted to continue learning more about psychology and neuroscience. Now, I am extremely fortunate to be able to study and work alongside people who are equally passionate about the brain and science as a whole!

Non-science biography

I lived in Yorktown, Virginia for the first 18 years of my life so I was excited at the prospect of coming to Boston for college and exploring the city. Other than science, I love all things art and have been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember. Over the past couple of years, I’ve been making my way around Boston’s museums and exhibits. I also enjoy participating in community service and believe it’s one of the best ways to get to know your community.

One thing I’m sorry I’m not sorry about

I can fall asleep anywhere and everywhere (super useful for traveling).

What I look for in a scientist

My favorite kind of scientist is someone who not only is passionate about what they study but also able to share their knowledge in a way that is accessible to everyone.
